Recognizing NAFCD's Members

The North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) has historically recognized excellence through awards that honor board service, contributions to the association's growth, and lifetime achievement within the industry.

To better reflect the breadth of talent, innovation, and dedication within our community, NAFCD is expanding the awards program this year. This expansion aims to create more opportunities to spotlight the outstanding accomplishments of our members across a wider range of roles and contributions. By broadening our recognition efforts, we hope to celebrate the diverse ways our members are driving success within both the association and the floor covering distribution industry at large.

The Awards Committee will review all submissions for these awards based on the criteria established with the staff liaison. The committee will be comprised of 5 board members (3 distributors and 2 suppliers) who will be expected to meet at least twice throughout the year. The committee will have an initial kick-off call to establish the criteria for each award and submission forms and a final selection call where the winners will be determined.

2025 Winner: All South Foundation

Founded in 2009, the Good Samaritan Foundation provides last-resort financial assistance to individuals and families in need. Since its inception, the Foundation has donated over $1.3 million to charitable organizations across the Carolinas, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Virginia. In 2024 alone, the Foundation set a new record, giving over $280,000 to organizations in need. GSF’s long-term model of giving—disbursing only the earnings from its fund while preserving the principal — ensures that its support for communities will endure for generations. It’s a model built on vision, discipline, and a deep commitment to lasting impact.

The Foundation was created by a group of business leaders who wanted to leave a legacy beyond success in their careers and business. Among them are Todd Good, President of All South Flooring, and Greg Capell, Vice President. Their leadership has been essential to the Foundation’s success. Their hands-on involvement in organizing events, managing the fund, and vetting partner organizations reflects a deep, personal commitment to community service. Their leadership ensures that the Foundation operates with integrity, financial stewardship, and long-term vision.

The organization has no operating overhead, with all services — including financial management donated by volunteers — further ensuring that nearly every dollar earned goes directly to those in need.

All South Flooring has cultivated a culture of service that extends across its organization. Employees and industry partners are invited to participate in charitable events such as golf outings and fundraising dinners. These events foster fellowship and industry camaraderie while supporting the Foundation’s mission.

This is not just a top-down initiative — community service is a shared value, embraced and promoted by everyone at All South Flooring and by those who work alongside them, including vendors and customers.
