2012 NAFCD + NBMDA Annual Convention Recap

The 2012 NAFCD + NBMDA Annual Convention and Executive Networking Forum was a yet another success! More than 550 came together from throughout the leading floor covering, building material, and woodworking industries to build relationships, do business, and strengthen their companies.

The educational presentations offered at this year's Convention featured nationally-recognized experts in areas relevant to all attendees. Topics covered included relevant political issues, economic trends, and sales management improvement. All were highly rated by attendees.


NAFCD Exclusive Sessions Focused on Business Growth

NAFCD offered three sessions exclusively available to NAFCD attendees:

Jonathan Trivers shared his years of merchandising expertise in a session addressing the challenges, new practices, and solutions related to this important topic. Attendees were walked through a workbook that helped them examine their current strategies and explore ways to make improvements.

The NAFCD Best Practice Roundtable Discussions were held again by popular demand, with topics facilitated by NAFCD leaders. This open format allowed participants to discuss critical issues and share ideas in a laid-back, non-competitve setting.

Highlight of 2012 Keynote Presentations

The keynote presenters at this year's Convention were a huge hit, covering topics that are at the top of everyone's minds, from CEOs to sales teams.

Dana Perino, host of The Five on the Fox News Channel and former White House Press Secretary, provided some perspective on the political landscape based on her experience as a key player on the Bush administration. Her business-focused message was one of a positive outlook despite current challenges.


Jim Pancero brought his sales management expertise to attendees, with advice and examples focused on how to make high-performing sales managers and teams even better.
